The Kentucky Eviction Diversion Program can pay up to 3 mo. past due and 1 mo. future rent for tenants with an active eviction case who qualify. This resource is expected to last until 2025 + is the only public rental assistance available for Kentuckians outside of Louisville and Lexington. This program is designed to: divert court evictions + keep Kentucky renters housed; allow landlords to receive payments for back rent for tenants allowed to remain in their units; provide renters that are evicted the ability to acquire alternative housing, avoid public costs of evictions + homelessness
