Updated

Warren County has 9 storm shelters throughout its park system. Built to withstand winds of 200+mph, these facilities are open to the public and staffed by Warren County Parks for use only when tornado watch and/or warning alerts are issued by the National Weather Service (not severe thunderstorm alerts). All tornado shelters are stocked with water, weather radios, flashlights, and other emergency items. All facilities have changing tables, and some have restrooms. Pets are permitted if they are leashed or caged. Look for the tornado signs to direct you to the shelters when you enter the parks.
